Is there a complimentary shuttle or other transportation to nearby attractions (like Moraine Lake)?
The Lodge does not offer regular shuttle service to/from the lodge itself. A car is recommended. As a guest of Cathedral Mountain Lodge, you do have access to select complimentary activities and services offered by our sister property, Moraine Lake Lodge.
We operate a free shuttle to our sister property, Moraine Lake Lodge. Because seating is limited, please reserve by emailing us at info@cathedralmountain.com with your booking confirmation number and desired date and time for your shuttle reservation. Due to limited availability, the shuttle is limited to one use per room reservation.

Check-in time on the day of arrival is 4 pm. MST, and check-out time on the day of departure is 11 a.m. MST.

Yes. Many cabins include an authentic stone wood-burning fireplace for a cozy mountain atmosphere.

Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided in the main lodge and select areas. Cell service is accessible at the lodge.

No. To preserve a peaceful, nature-focused retreat, cabins do not include televisions or in-room phones.

Cathedral Mountain Lodge is a smoke-free property; however, if guests do smoke, please smoke in an area away from the cabins and the main lodge.

Cathedral Mountain is a small seasonal property, and so we do not have private facilities for hosting weddings, receptions, or group events.

Do I need a Parks Pass, and how do I get one?
All visitors in Canada’s National Park system must have a valid parks pass for the duration of their stay. Passes can be purchased ahead of arrival online, at visitor centres in Lake Louise, Banff and Jasper or at the Park gates outside of Banff. Please check the Parks Canada website for additional information.

Do you offer canoeing at Moraine Lake?
Yes! As a guest of Cathedral Mountain Lodge you have access to select complimentary activities and services offered by our sister property, Moraine Lake Lodge.
Complimentary canoe use is provided by Moraine Lake Lodge on a first-come, first-served basis (mid-Jue to mid-September). Canoes can accommodate 2 to 3 people; paddles, life jackets and basic instruction are provided. Note: operations may close early due to weather or water conditions. Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in the canoes.
